An open-source project by rUv, formerly Claude Flow
Ruflo puts an agent swarm console inside Claude Code. Here is the install, and what to check first.
Ruflo is rUv's open-source project, formerly Claude Flow, and it describes itself as the execution layer around Claude Code and Codex. Inside Claude Code it shows as an agent swarm console, where a queen agent dispatches worker agents. Two lines add the console, and Ruflo's own README says to read the code first, because mods run with your account's permissions and are not sandboxed.
This is free to use. What we sell is at the bottom of the page, with prices.
- 01Read what it runs with before you install it
- 02Add the console from inside Claude Code with two lines
- 03Optional: the full setup, pinned, with the promo feed off
- Add the console inside Claude Code
- 2 lines
- Lowest Claude Code version for the plugin
- 2.1.287
- Mods run with your account's permissions
- No sandbox
- Open source, by rUv on GitHub
- MIT
What you will have when you finish
Ruflo's console inside Claude Code, installed after you have read what it runs with.
- Ruflo's agent swarm console in Claude Code, opened with /ruflo
- A view of the swarm as Ruflo runs it: a queen agent dispatching worker agents
- What the plugin runs with, read in its own README before you install it
- Optional: the full setup, pinned to a version you chose, with its promo feed off
- Optional: a shorter tool list, so Ruflo takes up less of Claude's context
Four steps, then two optional ones
Step 1 is reading. Steps 2 to 4 add the console from inside Claude Code. Steps 5 and 6 are the full setup and its tool list, for after you have read the code. Every Ruflo command below comes from its README or its source.
Claude Code 2.1.287 or later for the plugin. To check, run claude --version in a terminal. The optional full setup in step 5 also needs Node.js, for npx.
- 01
Read what you are about to install. Ruflo is rUv's open-source project on GitHub, and its README says mods run with your account's permissions and are not sandboxed, so review the code first.
Ruflo on GitHub, by rUvYour part: open the repository and read the plugin you plan to add, plugins/ruflo-console. Whatever a mod does, it does with your permissions.
- 02
Add the ruflo marketplace to Claude Code. A marketplace is where Claude Code looks up plugins, and this one is the Ruflo repository.
Send in Claude Code
/plugin marketplace add ruvnet/ruflo
Your part: send the line and approve anything Claude Code asks.
- 03
Install the console, the agent swarm console from the reel.
Send in Claude Code, as its own message
/plugin install ruflo-console@ruflo
Your part: send it after the first line has finished. The plugin path needs Claude Code 2.1.287 or later.
- 04
Reload your plugins, then open the console. /ruflo is the one command for the console and for every Ruflo mod.
/reload-plugins /rufloYour part: send them one at a time. The console reads Ruflo's own files, so a view with nothing measured yet reads n/a.
- 05
Optional: the full setup. Ruflo's init wizard writes .claude/, .claude-flow/ and a CLAUDE.md into your project and installs hooks. The npx line runs in PowerShell and cmd as well as on Mac and Linux.
Run in a terminal, in your project folder
npx ruflo@3.56.10 init wizard
Your part: pin a version you have read, as the line above does. Ruflo's own lines use @latest, which runs whatever was published last. This setup fetches a tips and promo feed from funnel.ruv.io by default, and RUFLO_FUNNEL=0 stops it. Cloud routing and training-data sharing stay off unless you opt in.
- 06
Optional: trim the tool list. The full setup registers more than 300 tools, and their descriptions take up room in Claude's context. Ruflo's server reads CLAUDE_FLOW_MCP_TOOLS and offers only the groups you name.
CLAUDE_FLOW_MCP_TOOLS=memory,swarmYour part: set it where Ruflo's server starts, as a comma-separated list of groups or exact tool names. The setting came out of issue #2726 on Ruflo's GitHub, where the full list overflowed a small context window.
Install lines, settings and defaults were checked against Ruflo's README, user guide and source on GitHub on 16 October 2026.
The specifics
From Ruflo's README, user guide and source on GitHub, read 16 October 2026.
- Made by
- rUv (ruvnet on GitHub), open source under the MIT license. Claude Flow is now Ruflo. Neither Anthropic nor GraniteAI made it.
- Permissions
- Mods run with your account's permissions and are not sandboxed. Ruflo's README says to review the code before installing.
- Promo feed
- The full npx setup fetches a tips and promo feed from funnel.ruv.io by default. RUFLO_FUNNEL=0 stops it. The plugin-only path does not fetch it.
- Cloud and training data
- Cloud routing and training-data sharing are opt-in. Both stay off until you agree to them.
- Versions
- Ruflo's defaults pull @latest. Pin a version you have read, such as npx ruflo@3.56.10.
- Tools
- The full setup registers more than 300 tools. CLAUDE_FLOW_MCP_TOOLS trims the list (issue #2726).
Questions people ask
Is Ruflo safe to install?
Treat it like any code you run as yourself. Ruflo's README says mods run with your account's permissions and are not sandboxed, and tells you to review the code first. Pin a version, because the defaults pull @latest.
What does it connect to by default?
The full npx setup fetches a tips and promo feed from funnel.ruv.io. RUFLO_FUNNEL=0 stops it, and the plugin-only path does not fetch it. Cloud routing and training-data sharing are opt-in.
Will Claude use the swarm for every task?
Not always. The full setup nudges Claude toward the swarm with text in CLAUDE.md and with hooks. Neither one can force it.
Is Ruflo a GraniteAI tool?
No. Ruflo is rUv's open-source project, published on GitHub under the MIT license, and Anthropic did not make it either. We showed it in a reel. This page explains what it is and how it installs.

The readiness audit, done for you
Price: $349One week
Send us access to your repo. We run the nine-lane review, change nothing, and hand back the report with a 30 minute call on the three gaps to close first.
You have a product you charge for, or want to, and you would rather read the verdict than run the agents.
- The report at docs/commercial-readiness.md: a verdict, a scorecard, every gap with the file to open and how to verify it
- Legal, security, billing, support, marketing, operations and the rest, checked at once
- A 30 minute call on the three gaps to close first
- Nothing in your repo changed. The workflow prompt is yours to run afterward
The review is the one in the video. On our own product it found 87 gaps. The overnight run that followed was 148 commits and one pull request.
If the review finds no gap worth your time, you pay nothing.
The guided first run
Price: $9960 minutes
We run the review on your repo together, on a call, and you leave with the report in your repo and the three gaps to close first.
You have the kit and a repo, and you would rather do the first run with someone who has done it.
- The review running on your machine, in your Claude Code
- The verdict read together, and the three gaps picked
- The workflow prompt set up so you can run it that night
- The call recording
New. You would be one of the first. The run itself is the one in the video: 190 agents, 148 commits, one pull request.
If the review will not run on your setup during the call, there is no charge.
